Product Description
Wireless 11b/g Access Point
There are 6 modes :
AP mode :
Setting this mode allow the unit to act as a communication hub for users of a wireless device to connect to a wired LAN environment. VK-100APg is important for offering heightened wireless security and for extending the physical range of service a wireless user has access to.
Client mode :
Setting this mode allows for communication with each other by first going through an Access Point (AP), and requires access to the wired LAN in order to use services such as file servers or printers.
Bridge mode :
Setting this mode allows for communication directly with each other, without the use of an access point (AP). It is also referred to as peer-to-peer mode.
WDS Mode :
WDS is short for Wireless Distribution System. If your installations where one Access Point isn't enough to provide a good coverage, setting this mode in several VK-100APg (several Access Points) which extend your coverage to connect your network environment.
Universal Repeater Mode :
It is also a good way to extend your network coverage, and doesn't require the remote wireless devices have WDS function.
RADIUS Mode :
Specifies the RADIUS server information if you have an external RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) server to authenticate a user.
Product Features:
* Complies IEEE 802.11b/g standard, 10/100Mbps Ethernet Protocol.
* Supports AP mode, Client mode, Bridge mode, WDS (Wireless Distributed System) mode, and Universal Repeater mode.
* Supports Power Saving to allow a computer to stop transmitting through the wireless adapter during sleep mode.
